Truckers Against Trafficking Awareness Course

Responsibilities: Instructional Designer, eLearning Developer, Graphic Designer

Tools used: Articulate Rise, Adobe Photoshop

Client: Truckers Against Trafficking

Audience: Transportation department employees and drivers

Overview + Challenge: Human trafficking is an increasing problem in the United States. Traffickers often utilize truck stops along their trafficking routes or to meet with customers. Truck drivers, when trained on how to spot trafficking and what to do, can be a vital part of reducing trafficking and saving victims.

Solution: This Rise course was developed to raise awareness about sex trafficking in the United States. A partnership between local law enforcement, convenience stores, and truck stops were created, and training is provided for convenience store employees and truck drivers on how to spot signs of sex trafficking and how to help stop it. The course aimed to equip trucking industry members to recognize and report potential human trafficking situations. In creating the course, I used a combination of custom imagery, scenarios, and videos. The final course was deployed by mobile devices for truckers to access anywhere and anytime on their route.
